As you might expect, the Bible has a number of wonderful, heartwarming teachings around the concepts of birthdays, growing old, and becoming wiser with time. 

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom,” says Psalm 90:12, encouraging us to actively take count of our years despite the unpleasant feelings that can be associated with growing older. 

By doing so, we can begin to feel grateful for all the knowledge and experience we’ve gained through another year.

With a similar sentiment, Proverbs 9:11 reads, "For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life."  Wisdom isn't without its purpose, as gaining it will, in turn, allow us to lead a healthy, long life. 

Of course, birthdays bring about a certain level of anxiety, as it’s one year closer to death. But, as the Bible explains, death is not the end for righteous people. To those of us in the faith, death represents the start of a new chapter in paradise. 

With that in mind, let’s now go to our specially prepared birthday wishes for each family member.

When a birthday gift and greeting card don’t cut it, offer your happy birthday wishes in the form of a blessing full of God’s love and sentiments of good health for your friends and family members.
