DOJ Achievements Under Trump 0:00 Murders are down roughly 20 percent nationwide. We have the lowest murder rate since 1900. Violent crime arrests are up nearly 114 percent. We've taken0:11 almost 5000 child predators and human traffickers off the streets. We've paid 96000000 dollars in claims to eligible surviving families of fallen public0:23 safety officers. I have stood next to and defended president Trump as0:35 partisan prosecutors and politicians abused our legal system. Days after the president's 20 24 election win, he announced Blanche's nomination as deputy attorney general.Priorities and Civil Rights Enforcement 0:47 You have to be just inundated, right, with stuff coming in from all over the country with with priorities and needs. How do you even begin to set priorities when it's like drinking from a0:59 fire hose?1:00 No. It's that's that's exactly what it's like. I think the easiest way to answer is that you can't do it alone. You know, there's when you think about the great structure around, the Department of Justice, whether1:12 it's federal agencies, FBI, DEA, Marshalls, ATF, but then DHS, HSI, border patrol, CBP, and then state local. So, you know, I get to sit up here1:24 and take credit for things, but it's really the work of of thousands and thousands of men and women. What we're doing is we're using our civil rights laws to actually enforce the1:36 civil rights of all Americans, and and that comes in many different forms. It comes in in the forms of of of antisemitism on college campuses. It comes in the form of of not just individualized, I mean, you're
1:48 violating someone's civil rights, but institutions that are violating civil rights of Americans were were now going after and and holding them accountable. Conservative voices on campus were were not
2:00 just, quieted down. They were there was an attempt to extinguish them. He said, it's going too slowly. Justice needs to be served. What's going on? He he is somebody who has high expectations for his
2:12 cabinet and for this administration. That type of communication from president Trump should make every American happy.
2:19 People are upset about what happened with a a weaponized, DOJ and and FBI under, the Biden administration. And I don't think people understand just how intense the process is,
2:30 the investigative process and the judicial process.
2:33 If you think about your normal complicated case, they take oftentimes 7, 8, 9 months, a year, 2 years, 3 years sometimes to build. And so
2:45 people know the American people know what happened for 4 years, 3.5 years. What I hope folks understand is that we are we are turning around an aircraft carrier. We didn't rewrite the laws, and it's
2:57 the same laws that that existed, for for a long time now. And so it's it's it's it's now a team effort to try to, do justice and to try to to make sure that what
3:08 happened that shouldn't have happened never happens again, and that's what we're we're trying to
3:16 do. A lot of people have told us that the hardest part about, working with this administration is that President Trump is moving so fast and is is so focused
3:28 on making America safe again and on giving all of you the tools and resources that you need to be set up for success.
3:34 Yes. Yes. Talk to
3:35 me about the the accomplishments that you've been able to see in such a fast paced environment.
3:40 The president, he loves this country, and he you know that in what he does every single day, and so he does not want to waste time. And so when he calls me, when he calls other secretaries,
Trump's Pace and Restoring Justice
3:52 when he calls the the the folks that are working with him, it's not okay to say I'll get around to that. Okay? You you because because that does not work for him, and it shouldn't work for him. And and and that's what
4:04 makes this such a great government to work in right now, because you wake up every day saying, what can I do? What am I gonna do that can help further the president's agenda and make this country for me, make this
4:16 country safe? And so I don't I love it. I love it. Like, I love the fact that he is completely committed 24 7 to, to what he says to the American people. He is not just
4:28 saying that. He is also action. So when he says to the American people, we are gonna deal with this problem. We are going to, we're gonna fix fraud. We're gonna get the criminals out of this country. If you're here
4:37 illegally, you're gonna be deported. He's not just saying that and then going home. He's saying that and making sure everybody that worked with him, are making sure that that goal is accomplished. And, you
4:48 know, I don't view that as a trouble. I view that as as as something that is hopefully motivating for all of us. Nearly every member of of of President Trump's last for all of us. Nearly every member of of of president
4:57 Trump's last administration, some of whom are in this room, had to go in front of a grand jury over 1 reason or another. You you have a situation where there was such a weaponization against not only
5:09 1 man and not only 1 man's family, but against an entire administration.
5:13 The man has been the target of every single attack like we've never seen before. And in our very divided country right now, you're seeing, more and more people call for violence.
5:25 I mean, political violence and his rhetoric is is terrifying. Talk to me about the strength that you've seen in a man who has taken literally almost taken bullets that have taken his life Yeah. And and he
Trump's Resilience and Character
5:36 continues to stand up and just say, I'm I just wanna serve this country.
5:40 And 1 of the reasons why is because of his resilience in the face of, like, repeated, attempts on his life, but also repeated attempts on his character, repeated attempts on his family,
5:52 repeated attempts on his business. So it's it's a assault from all angles that he's gone through, and people forget because now he's president. They forget that that for 3 years, he
6:04 was under attack from every angle.
6:07 And there's a whole side of the man that the mainstream media doesn't show you because it doesn't fit their agenda.
6:11 You're right. President Trump, the night of the, at the White House correspondents' dinner, I was in the Oval Office with him, and he's trying to write and finalize a speech to say to the American people about what had
6:21 just happened to him. And, somebody, I think it was Mark Mark Wayne, said, I have the I have the the agent who was who was shot. He's in the hospital. Do you wanna talk to him? President Trump
6:33 stops everything. Absolutely. Puts him on, has a great conversation with him, has the guy laughing, but shows his his empathy, shows how much he cares for him. And it certainly changed that man's life
6:45 that knows all the other CNN. And the president Trump does he does that over and over and over again. He he runs late during the day. And the main reason he's late is because he is such a good person. And so he will not
6:56 rush a meeting. He will not rush a a a phone call. He will not rush a a picture. And and it's just he he you're right. The media will never write a that you will get no expose on that.
7:08 Tonight you saw the very worst and the very best of this country because you saw law enforcement do exactly what they're supposed to do. We are extraordinarily grateful and appreciative of the men and women of law
7:19 enforcement that that did their jobs tonight, including 1 who was who was injured. We we live in a in a dangerous world, and we ask men and women like you and like the
Honoring Law Enforcement and Mission Ahead
7:31 fallen to run into danger when many of us would not. I think that there's there's fewer things that we can do as a law enforcement community than wrapping our arms
7:43 around the families and the loved ones of the of the men and women who paid the ultimate price to keep us to keep us safe. Look. I hope that that time heals wounds,
7:55 and I hope that we move forward as a country, and we will, back to where the Department of Justice is is is doing justice. And I think we're doing that now. All I can say is that we have a
8:07 very defined mission that we've been trying to execute and will continue to execute, and and and that's that's what we're gonna keep on doing. It's a great time to be part of the work that we're doing,
8:19 every day for president Trump and for the American people.
8:23 My name is Matthew Silverman. I'm the national president for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association representing approximately 140000 federal agents worldwide, including our 35000 dues paying members. I wanna
