744: Pagan Nationalism & Asking Better Questions with Kaitlyn Schiess

October 28, 2026 · 1 hr 33 min

Two events have gotten Phil's attention. First, Secretary of State Marco Rubio gave a speech in Athens, Greece, about the greatness of Western civilization. Rubio celebrated pagan virtues of ancient Greece and Rome like power, competition, and ambition, but ignored Christian virtues like compassion, equality, and human dignity. Second, the National Conservative Conference featured numerous speakers extolling the godliness of nationalism and why the mistreatment of minorities may be justified. Taken together, is pagan nationalism the future of the conservative movement? Then Kaitlyn and Skye talk about her brand-new podcast, "The Better Question." Kaitlyn explains what the show is about, who it's for, and tries to find an upcoming topic or guest that an old man like Skye won't like.   The Better Question with Kaitlyn Schiess, out now: https://pod.link/6827225634 ICE vs. the Unborn by Hannah Miller King: https://holypost.substack.com/p/ice-vs-the-unborn   Holy Post Plus: Ad-Free Version of this Episode: https://holypost.substack.com/p/fc3114c9-d612-45af-b747-efae563504b8?postPreview=free&updated=2026-10-27T20%3A27%3A26.028Z&audience=only_paid&free_preview=true&freemail=true   0:00 - Show Starts   0:45 - Theme Song   1:34 - Sponsor - World Relief - You don't have to navigate this journey alone.
