In Matthew 9, a group of friends does whatever it takes to get a hurting man to Jesus, believing He can change everything. What the man needed most wasn’t physical healing — it was forgiveness. Jesus shows us that our greatest

need is not self-improvement but a Savior. Because of His life, death and resurrection, we are forgiven, free from shame and made new. There is more grace in Jesus than sin in us.
