- 331331. ChosenIn the midst of chaos, it can be easy to feel as though we are not important enough to receive assistance from God. But He has chosen US and He will always be there to protect us. Never mistake moments of mistake or misery as abandonment. No, He always has our back and what we go through -- He has a purpose and plan for us. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellences of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

First Things FirstThere are so many things that clamor for our attention and devotion: jobs, kids, spouses, hobbies, etc. -- we have to be careful not to let them become more important or more of a priority than our relationship with God. Deuteronomy 5:8-9 says, "You must not make for your self an idol of any kind, or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection of any other gods (NLT).
- 333333. The Long HaulDo you know the difference between motivation and dedication? The main difference between the two is action; one of these requires more focus and effort. Motivation is the spark, the initiative to begin a task. It's what excites you and inspires you to take action and aim high at your goals. And dedication is commitment to accomplishing your goals and what actions or behaviors are needed to reach success. We'll talk all about this today and more, so stay tuned!
- 334334. Good GraceLet's remember that grace continually renews itself. With each failure, we get to begin again as if we never messed up. God's grace is never a license to sin, but instead it's an opportunity to become a distributer of the grace we've received. When we remember how much we need grace, it's easier to give it.
- 335335. Everyday DiscernmentDiscernment is a spiritual gift, along with many others described in 1 Corinthians 12. God provides every Christian with spiritual gifts; however, not everyone uses them. This is not something to be obtained by completing a checklist or improving your head knowledge; Discernment takes practice, and it takes development. There are many sources of discernment and we'll talk about those as well as ask you: Where do you need more growth in your discernment on your spiritual walk?
