Meeting Reza Pahlavi and Iran's Transition Plan 0:00 Good morning, America. Welcome back to the All American Book Club. I'm Eden Gordon Hill. We are doing a special episode for WMAL dot com and also pray dot com. I get to bring back to the show0:12 Hetia Miramati Falco. She is become a very dear friend to the show. I'm so honored to know her as a sister in Christ. Let me give you just a quick background about Hetia.0:23 She is the founder of resurrect ministry dot com. She is a former national security adviser, spent many years working to protect America and fight Islamic terrorism under 50:35 different presidential administrations. She had a dramatic life change, and that was because of Jesus Christ. So we're going to be talking about Iran today. Yes. If you have watched spray0:47 dot com, you have heard us talk about her very powerful book. But we're gonna be talking about her op ed in the Christian post inside her meeting with and the, freedom well, the plan to free0:59 Iran, but inside her meeting with Reza Palavi. I am pronouncing that name terribly, so I'm gonna have you do it, Eddie, since you are here. So let's talk about your meeting,1:11 and then let's also talk about what just came out today, Victor Davis Hanson's op ed and daily signal also leaning into the October surprise in Iran. So we have a lot to talk about in 18 minutes, and I'm1:23 gonna stop talking.1:26 No. It was it was really exciting. And for me, it was a a full circle because we had invited him actually at my father's home 35 years ago. Talking about this revolution, basically, how do we stop the IRGCs control? Basically, the hijacking of a ancient 3000 year old civilization. And so he just has what I loved about meeting him was1:38
1:49 1st 1st of all, extremely personable, kind, considerate, articulate, very, very elegant human being. I don't know how to describe that other than using the word
2:01 elegant, but just very thoughtful about his plan and his design for the the next day after the IRGC falls. And it really people keep talking about,
2:13 oh, do does the Iranian people still want a king, and why would they wanna recreate a dynasty? And it's really not that at all. His transition program in the Iran Prosperity Project is all about transition.
2:26 It's about the day after, is bringing together the the various ethnic groups that comprise Iran. Territorial integrity is very important to the Iranian people in talking about
2:38 what that new government's gonna look like at every bureaucratic level and at the society level. So talking about religious freedom, talking about economic prosperity, rebuilding, infrastructure, oil,
2:50 trade, it it encompasses absolutely everything. And his idea is to lead the people towards an election. Choosing a leader, he has said many times, I do not wanna be the
3:01 president. I do not wanna be the leader. I am there to facilitate this transition because he represents hope and the lost era of Persian pride
3:14 to the people, even the young people who were not alive when his family was in power. He is a symbol of that hope and unity for the people.
3:23 What is the America what's president Trump and America's response to that when they hear these types of things? Could you say religious freedom? You say all the the right things that we wanna say are here. So what what's
3:35 the response?
3:36 So I'm gonna take off my Iranian American hat, and I'm gonna put on my American policy hat. Because remember, America, and this is not just under Trump, under
America's Strategic Interests and Regime Change Concerns
3:48 every administration, is America 1st. So it meaning our strategic interest for the United States overrides our interest in developing other countries.
4:00 So our development of other countries is based on what benefit it brings to the American people and the American government. So Iran has represented a quandary for decades
4:12 because they are the largest exporter of terrorism. They have wreaked havoc on the world, not just on Israel. They have killed thousands of American soldiers all the way from the marine barracks to the Iraq
4:24 war. Yes.
4:24 Yeah. And domestically, in domestic terrorist attacks that they have funded. So it's it is a they are the IRGC, not the Iranian people, are a menace to the United States, but but there is
4:36 this grappling with the day after. And though though the crown prince represents this wonderful democratic project, there is still a lot of hand wringing in
4:48 Washington about, but wait. What happens if it doesn't work? What happens if the people still want Islam or some form of Islamic government? And when when the US government gets involved in
5:00 regime change, meaning in actually being part of that, it goes very, very wrong. I've been involved in 4 of them, and it usually goes sideways as we've seen with Afghanistan and
5:12 Iraq. I mean, Afghanistan, we spent 2000000000000 dollars to take Afghanistan from the Taliban and give it back to them. So nobody wants to go back there. And what the crown prince is saying is I don't need you to
5:24 go back there. The Iranian people are the boots on the ground, and the US is holding billions of dollars of the Iranian people's assets. So he's like, help us with our own money, not US taxpayer
5:35 money, and weapons to allow the Iranian people to rise up themselves. But, you know, I'm not currently in the US government. I don't know why that equation is not more simple. You know,
5:47 why why would we do that? But but we're not. We're it it doesn't look like that's what we're willing to do.
5:54 I wanna talk about the religious persecution that we see there too. I wanna talk about the fact that there we see so many
6:06 things happening in our news cycle. And but we always I feel like this country especially just tends to forget that faith component.
6:19 There are so many Christians over there. So let's see.
6:24 Well, I think it's important also in light of our political climate and free audience to know that Iran, the the Islamic revolution is the 1st example of what happens under a red green alliance.
6:35 So Khomeini was actually aligned to the communist party, and he that's what brought him to power. So the Mujahideen Khalq, the m e k, that you still hear about today as
6:47 a viable option was actually part of that Islamist Marxist movement in Iran. But when Khomeini took power, he executed, imprisoned, or exiled them and and killed a lot of
6:59 them. So it is it is telling for people to look at that recent history of 19 79 and realize that is something we are also confronting is that Marxist Islamist alliance.
7:11 Mhmm. But meanwhile, while Sharia has been implemented in this very brutal and oppressive fashion, I mean, women, their head cover, like we know with Masa Amini,
7:23 falls or moves, you could lose your life. And so at the beginning of the year, they had an uprising and 80 to 100000 Iranians were massacred by the government.
Religious Persecution and the Growing Underground Church
7:35 And meanwhile, the gospel still goes forward. So under the threat of death, there's apostasy laws in Muslim countries, meaning if a Muslim converts to Christianity, you're subject to death. And
7:47 yet with that hanging over their head and imprisoning pastors and converts, they are still coming to the Lord by the thousands. It is the fastest growing church in the world, and we estimate anywhere between
7:59 4 and 5000000, Iranians have turned to Christ.
8:03 And you talk about the underground church and your peace. Yeah. So what does that encompass? Because I remember being in China doing mission work, and there was that underground component there. What is the
8:15 underground church like in Iran?
8:18 So from the people that I've spoken to that have been a part of that movement, it's extremely difficult. You know, you can't have physical Bibles. Maybe they have a single page. Maybe they've actually taken a
8:30 page and handwritten it. Mhmm. And so they're they're literally going by 2 or 3 people talking to their family members about Christ, and overwhelmingly, you
8:42 will hear the stories of there being a miraculous encounter of some sort. So they will go and talk to their family members, their mother and father. They will have a dream or they will have had a dream of the Lord before
8:54 the family member comes, and so they're open to the gospel once it's told to them. There's a lot of miraculous intervention by the Lord. And so it's just multiplying. And then once
9:06 they do convert, if the government finds out about them, then they're under threat. I mean, 1 young lady I spoke to moved 12 times in a month because they were chasing her. And so even to
9:17 baptize people, they were in their in their bathrooms, baptizing them in the bathtubs. You know? So despite the overwhelming oppression and fear and persecution they
9:29 face, they're still willing to come to the Lord and spread it to other people. A friend of mine runs a wonderful organization called Iran Christians, and they basically end up discipling and training
9:41 them when they visit other countries. They so they come out on visitations, and they're able to train and disciple them in those, 3rd countries, and then they are able to go back into Iran.
9:53 I know we didn't talk about this pre the interview, but I wanted to ask you because you may have an insight with with all the religious persecution we see around the world. What could the United
10:04 States do more to advocate for the Christian persecution that's happening in Iran? Is there something that we should be doing? What are your thoughts on that?
10:16 Well, originally, as you know, that we have this problem across the world is that that we have the religious freedom commission and that was supposed to be part of our diplomatic policy.
10:29 Christians get ignored and the persecution of Christians get ignored. If you see what's happening in Africa, we should be absolutely up in arms. There should be sanctions or regulations. There should
10:41 be punishment that's being enforced and it rarely is being enforced. Now with Scott Bessen and the operation against Iran to, like, financially strangle them, a lot of that is happening,
10:52 but it's not done in the name of Christians. It's done in the name of toppling the IRGC. It has a cumulative effect of helping the Christians, but I wish our government would be more vocal
11:04 about protecting Christians. But it that's not unique to this administration. Rarely do we, advocate for Christians like we should be.
11:14 Yeah. Correct on that. Okay. I'm gonna pivot because Victor Davis Hanson had an article that came out today, and you and I are both very big fans of him in the Daily Sun. And, really, it talks
11:26 about this October surprise coming from my Iran. And, obviously, I shared with you my personal thoughts. But could you kinda break that down for us? Because we're headed into midterms.
11:38 Obviously, Israel has 0 elections coming up. There's a lot of things happening globally that are gonna be affecting both Israel and the United States. Do you think that's what he's leaning into?
11:50 Well, for sure. Because everyone knows that Iran was hoping to push us into a greater armed conflict, a military conflict so that president Trump would lose the midterms, and
12:02 president Trump has been very crafty about avoiding that right before the midterms. And so now when you think about it, Iran's really not on the topic of the elections. So when you hear candidates talking about
12:14 it, Democrat or Republican, nobody's talking about the war. So that was effective. I think what Victor David Hanson's talking about is Iran wants to push his hand. And so I think we've already
12:26 seen that start to ramp up by their constant attack of their neighbors. There's a massive attack going on against Saudi by the Houthis. And so they asked for US military support, and apparently we've
12:37 declined that support. That's what was publicly announced. And so the question is, as they continue to stranglehold and then limit the access to oil by affecting these other straits and these other ports.
12:50 So raising the price of oil to also affect the US economy to again, hopefully bring it into an issue for the November elections. I'd I am not confident that that will
13:01 work unless there's some kind of major attack that Iran is able to execute, and I actually don't think they have the military capability to do that, especially against America.
13:13 But, you know, other than their drones and and this constant barrage of missiles at the gulf, I don't know if that's gonna move our elections.
13:22 And my my other question is this, and it's probably a very obvious question, but do you foresee, an you know, another 9 11? Do you think we would see anything like that now
13:34 that we are we much smarter, more discerning? What are your thoughts on that?
13:40 I mean, we are definitely smarter. We we are definitely better at thwarting large scale attacks as as, you know, we haven't had 1. But Iran has kind of shifted its tactics and has been very public about it in
US Response to Christian Persecution Worldwide
13:51 terms of they have what's called the Muhtar unit, which is an assassination unit. So they have ramped up their rhetoric about assassinations. We do also see we recently had 1 last week,
14:03 ISIS attacks, like these 1 off where people go around with either guns or knives, and sometimes Molotov cocktails, throwing them at people. They're they're much smaller scale attack.
14:16 Mhmm. So I don't anticipate a 9 11 style coming from Iran. I know there's Sarah Adams who's repeatedly talked about bin Laden's son, planning a large scale attack. So I think that's definitely
14:28 out there, but the the Islamists have been so effective, at basically attempting to conquer the United States through politics and demographics
14:39 and our legal system that I don't think it's in their interest to have a large scale Islamic attack.
14:47 So I wanna lean into something you had said before we hopped on, and it was also this focal point of Trump and his family. They're a target on their back. Can you talk to that as
14:58 well?
15:00 Yes. It's it's actually extremely disturbing because they're making all of these videos and they kind of, outlined Melania and Barron's, travel routes. The video on Melania
15:11 was extremely disturbing, like where she shops, how her motorcade operates, and basically this this almost call to action activating, not only their, you know, paid assassins, but any
15:23 disgruntled, you know, American or otherwise. They in 1 of the in 1 of the videos, they saw they show the the character dressed in a US army, outfit. And so it's
15:35 extremely disturbing that they've turned to those kind of tactics, and it's, you know, it's psychological warfare. But I think as Americans, we should be especially disturbed that, you know, the 1st family would be the
October Surprise, Assassination Tactics, and Call to Action
15:47 source of their attention in terms of attacks. There's also public figures and influencers like Laura Loomer that they've put on that assassination list and she's had to up her security because remember,
15:59 you know, the social media is going out to millions of people who have all kinds of other issues, You know? So they don't have to be paid by the by the Iranians to then take
16:11 up this cause, and it and it's sowing fear and panic, and it's it's disturbing. It's extremely disturbing.
16:17 Now you mentioned we have just, like, 3 minutes left, so I wanna pivot to your show and to your book that's behind you. But you mentioned you're gonna be doing, more of a conversation about this on
16:29 Melania and Baron on your show on Real Life Network. Is that correct? I wanna make sure people do your show as well. Okay.
16:35 I'm actually gonna do a whole episode on the Iranian assassination units and, basically, how their tactics have morphed and, discussing that with the with our audience and basically
16:47 trying to explain to them why this is a problem, and we always have a call to action at the end talking about biblical courage and basically contacting the legislatures, making sure that they
16:59 understand that this is an important issue. It's not something we want to tolerate. And I I basically try to educate my my, audience on everything having to do with how
17:10 Islam impacts us as a nation and especially for the Christian community to not operate in fear that I believe, you know, knowledge is power. And the more we know, the better we are
17:22 equipped to protect our own communities and to stand against evil and the demonic stronghold that we see popping up all over our nation.
17:31 Heddia, where can my audience go watch you? Because I'm already I already told my husband, you need to go watch Heddia. If you're not gonna listen to me, go watch her.
17:43 So I'm already
17:44 Oh, sweet. Thank you.
17:45 Oh, absolutely. No. It's an ongoing banter between my husband and I. We always compare notes. But where can people go engage with you, find your calls to action, watch you? I know that you're on
17:57 YouTube, but what would be the best way for them to connect with you?
18:01 My website is resurrect ministry dot com. So singular with a y at the end, resurrect ministry dot com. And then on Instagram, it's my maiden name, Hetia Miramati. Just
18:12 1 word. And the on so so from Hetia Miramati on Instagram, I have a Linktree where you can see tons of my content. So the Real Life Network channel on YouTube. Also, we have
18:24 an app where a lot of other content's available, but everything that has to do with me is in my Linktree bio on Instagram. And I and I answer messages directly. So people wanna reach out to me. I get invitations
18:36 to speak at churches and at events, and people ask me questions about Islam, how to deal with it at the local level, city council, planning commission. So people are are welcome to reach out to me either through the
18:47 website or Instagram, and I'm happy to answer questions as best I can.
18:51 Well, 1 thing I wanna final throw in here is the book behind you. That was how we 1st met. Can you read that off to the audience? I'm trying to, remember the title of it.
19:01 Sure. It's Living Fearless in Christ, why I left Islam to win battles for the kingdom. So it's a bit of a memoir, but at the end so I kinda tell my, my racy story as
19:13 a a young child and then coming to Christ. But the end of it is also the social and political aspects, what I saw with the radical left and how it was affecting Christianity. And, really, my goal was
19:24 to empower the reader to understand that you can overcome anything in this world and be a force for the Lord and and as soldiers of Christ in a in a fallen world.
19:35 Absolutely. Heddia, I adore you. Thank you so much for
19:39 I adore you too. Thank you, Yiddish.
19:40 You. I'm I'm grateful. And I was just gonna say I'm having you back because we're gonna talk Sharia law and women next. So Got it. Gonna leave it
