Darkness cannot turn the volume down on God's voice and His voice gives vision even when we can't see.

As we read Psalm 23 and know that Jesus is our Shepherd and that we are all sheep, God doesn't want to just keep us in a sheep mindset, but to step into a kings mindset when we accept Him and follow Him. He invites us to the table where we have a seat and are anointed by Him. As we trust God in the valley and hear our way out, we will see we have a seat at the table.

No matter how much we swim on our own we can't get out. On Good Friday God parted the waters for us. Jesus became our Exodus, our way out. But we can get our hopes up this Easter. Because we can trust in Jesus, for He keeps His word, having risen just as He said He would. He uses our fear, showing up in the midst of it, as a gateway by which to have us receive His Spirit. In a city coming back to life, we have the opportunity as God's people to invite others into the love of Christ through community and friendship. This takes boldness, commitment and sacrifice. As John 13:35 says, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
- 357CHURCH IS: A People of ForgivenessA great church is made up of people who embody forgiveness. This Sunday, Filmore Bouldes preached on how CHURCH IS: A People of Forgiveness. We can forgive when the memory of the sacrificial love and grace of Jesus is a stronger memory than our pain. We need His Holy Spirit power in us in order to see His fruit in our lives and truly impact and change the world around us!

This Sunday, Ryan Schlachter preached on how CHURCH IS: A People on a Mission –– a mission to make disciples of all the nations: disciples who will also love God and others. God has called us to do these things, and we do them for God's glory.
