Today’s prayer
Written prayerHeavenly Father, this is a strong prayer that I hear quoted a lot right now. It is a reminder that we, your people, have power to change the course of history. If we will put aside our sinful nature and wholeheartedly seek your face you will hear our cry and forgive our sins. It is our sins that have brought your correction on our nation so if we humble ourselves and ask you to cleanse our hearts of all sin you will restore us and heal our land. When we stray from your word and fall into compromise by diluting your word to be seeker friendly, we are playing with fire. Your word says that if you are lifted up you will draw all men unto you. Bring me back to the basics of your word. Don’t let me drift too far. Teach me to lift you up in all I do and say. If I speak your truth, and live in alignment with your will, you will honor and protect me. You will remove your hand of correction and heal our land. Place Godly leaders over us that will make right decisions that won't bring judgment to our land. In Jesus name, amen.
