Midday Prayer on Proverbs 16:18

Dear Lord, We recognize the tendency within ourselves to become prideful, to rely on our wisdom, and to forget our need for You. We confess that sometimes we elevate ourselves, forgetting that all we have and all we are comes from You. Teach us humility, Lord. Help us to see ourselves in proper perspective, knowing that we are Your creation, dependent on Your grace. Guide us to walk in a way that honors You with a spirit of humility and gratitude. May we always seek Your wisdom and guidance rather than trusting in our own understanding. Protect us from the pitfalls of pride, and help us to be humble in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Thank you for Your grace that covers us, and for Your gentle reminders to remain humble and grounded in You. In the humble and mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
