Today’s prayer
Written prayerHeavenly father, this is one of my favorite verses. You are pure love, and you loved me so much that you gave your only begotten Son, to die in my place. He took the punishment that I deserve for all my selfishness, pride, and sin, so I would not perish but live forever with you in heaven. You even sent Jesus ahead of me to prepare a place for me. There is a mansion in heaven that my deeds here on earth are building. You are a rewarder of those who serve and believe in you. That is part of the good news we can share with others. Christmas is not just a season or a day it is a way of life that we should all embrace: Peace on earth, good will toward men, and glory to the king of kings. What joy to know that those who receive God’s gift of love through his son, Jesus, shall receive eternal life. It’s about giving up the destructive behaviors that are destroying my life and relationships and replacing them with divine revelations that will bring healing and restoration to the broken and damaged places of my life. It sounds simple but God knows it’s not and that's why he sent Jesus to help us. Help me Lord to live in alignment with your truth and find restoration for my soul and abiding peace. In Jesus name, amen.
