God hates sin, but he especially hates premeditated oppression through greed and covetousness. In Micah's day, there was economic prosperity and peace on a macro scale, but people's hearts were far from God as they openly practiced sin in the daylight. Where you find distressed people, you will always find oppressive

leadership, and God has something to say about those whose relationship is not right with Him.
