Repentance for America's National Sins 0:00 My name is Jim Garlow, and I'm praying specifically regarding, repentance on behalf of my nation. I wanna make this preliminary comment. I'm not a blame America guy because I believe0:12 God has used America to do tremendous good in our world. It's been phenomenal how God has blessed this country to bless other nations, and I'm very proud of my nation for0:23 that. At the same time, we're not without our blemishes. And so I'm gonna ask repentance for those areas in America's history, identificational repentance or0:35 vicarious repentance, on behalf of my nation for the sins, our national sins. So Lord, I come to you right now asking forgiveness. I ask forgiveness for0:48 violating treaties with the native people. Lord, we made commitments, our government made commitments and then dishonored them. And much pain and0:59 much suffering was inflicted upon the Native Americans, the indigenous peoples. I ask forgiveness for any participation, all participation in slave1:11 trade, in bringing slaves, people against their will, forced into servitude in our nation. I thank you that our nation was willing to stand up a big piece of our1:23 nation and bring an end to slavery as it was. But we repent of that ever occurring here. Lord, I ask forgiveness for the1:35 slaughter of innocence, the phenomenon of abortion, the notion that a civilized society would dismember babies in the womb, not even with anesthesia.1:47 66000000, it's it's inconceivable to me. We repent of that sand, Lord. I go back in history a little bit. When the Saint
