As we get ready for SESSION 3 OF THE ENDURANCE SERIES… we are going to ask a question that will help us apply today’s study and here it is… are you ready? What is something you have done that was REALLY HARD and TOOK SOME TIME, but when you finished the process you said to yourself, “That was worth it.” I know
that some of you immediately thought about a physical race…you trained hard physically for that race … you finished it … or set a personal record…or even won! Lots of guys can identify with that. Hard but worth it. Others of you took a risk and started a business and battled to grow it, fought to make payroll for months, and finally users or customers got consistent and you started making money. What about in the area of relationships? I would be willing to bet that a lot of guys out there went into marriage bright eyed and fully optimistic until you had to work through some hard issues with your wife that you couldn’t just fix…that was reeaaalllly hard but also realllly worth it. It even brought you closer which is for sure …worth it. The big idea for us to think about is this: IF WE THINK THE PRIZE/OUTCOME/RESULT IS WORTH IT – WE WILL PAY WHATEVER PRICE, ENDURE WHATEVER CHALLENGE, AND ENGAGE ANY OBSTACLE TO SEE IT THROUGH. Another way of saying it is that when it comes to our endurance, OUR OBJECT OF HOPE is huge.
