Mike Jarvis: Dreams Don’t Quit, People Do - Perspective, Patience, Perseverance & the Power Forged Through Waiting, Ep. 317

September 1, 2026 · 1 hr 19 min

It’s game week for Liberty Football, but Mike Jarvis’ journey to this moment is a powerful reminder that some of the most important work happens long before the lights come on. In this conversation, Mike shares what feels different about this year’s team, why their word “STANDARD” has to become more than a slogan and instead shape the way you show up every single day, and what it means to write your own story rather than be defined by the past. We also go beyond football to talk about perseverance, identity, faith, vulnerability, and the setbacks and waiting seasons that shape us into who we’re meant to become. Mike challenges us to not waste the wait by recognizing that just because we can’t see the results yet doesn’t mean God isn’t doing something significant in us. From chasing a dream when the path doesn’t go according to plan to having the courage to ask for help when life gets heavy, this conversation is a reminder that dreams don’t quit, people do. So keep showing up, keep trusting, keep becoming, and make sure the standard you talk about becomes the standard you live.   Links: Find Out More about Mike Jarvis: https://libertyflames.com/sports/football/roster/mike-jarvis/16474 Pick Up a Mike Jarvis LU #97 Football Jersey Today: https://shorturl.at/WDzYb Liberty University’s Football Schedule: Liberty announces completed 2026 football schedule | Liberty News Pick Up Your Tickets for a Game Today: 2026 Football Schedule - Liberty University Needing a Perspective Shift in the Midst of Pain?
