The Resurrection

October 25, 2026 · 15 min

In this Bible Story, the tomb that contained the beaten body of Jesus is rolled open by the power of God. Jesus, the Savior of the World, rose from the tomb to prove that death had no power over him. Death is defeated as Jesus walks in the resurrection. Jesus appears to the two Marys and tells them to give word to the disciples that he had returned. This story is inspired by Matthew 27:62-28:15; Mark 16:1-13 & John 20:1-18. Go to https://www.BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year. Today's Bible verse is Mark 16:6 from the King James Version. Episode 213: All who were loyal to Jesus began to live in fear. Even His enemies, the very ones who put Him to death lived in fear. But theirs was a different kind, they still feared they would lose their power over the people to this Jesus movement. So they requested Pilate to put a guard at the tomb lest His disciples come and steal away the body. Three days later when Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James went to visit the tomb, they were interrupted by an angel who told them it was empty. And as they were running away, they ran into the risen Jesus himself! Hear the Bible come to life as Pastor Jack Graham leads you through the official BibleinaYear.com podcast.
