## Written prayer

Father, why is it so hard for people to get along? Your word says they will know we are Christians by our love for one another but there are so many divisions among your people. It is sad to see my brothers and sisters trying to justify their opinions and getting defensive when others don’t agree with them. It doesn’t seem they are seeking the truth but rather to prove they are right. You are pleased when we get along with each other. It delights you when we follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Help me be a peacemaker Lord, and always look for what I can do to bring reconciliation to the differences in conversations. Humble my pride lord so I don’t always have to be right or push my opinions on others. Your word is what we should all be accountable to, not any human opinion. When I love others and seek to find common ground to agree on that bonds us together in unity. Help me to never let disagreements accelerate into slanderous arguments that break the bond of Christian fellowship. We are all your children and you love us so teach us how to play nice Lord. Love is my purest reflection of you. in Jesus' name. amen.
