# Global Prayer on John 2:1

## Written prayer

Dear Lord, it is hard for me to imagine you as a child or how you interacted with others growing up. I see you as my Lord and savior. I see you as the Son of God to be revered and honored. I am humbled in your presence by your holiness. When I think of you at a wedding among friends with your mother I see how fully human you were. You had emotions like the rest of us. You cared for your mother and were a good son to her. I wonder what it was like for Mary knowing her son was born of the supernatural seed of God almighty. She watched you grow knowing you had a divine destiny to fulfill. The depth of her relationship with you is hard for me to comprehend. You were all human and yet fully divine. It seems so natural as I read your stories but on further consideration I reflect on those emotional ties and how I would have felt knowing God was the father of my son. I would have been much more protective and cautious of this special child. I wonder how Mary lived with that knowledge everyday as she watched you grow. I love you Lord, and I pray these things in Jesus name, amen.
