## Written prayer

Being your follower, Lord, is like a salmon going upstream to spawn. He’s swimming the opposite way the river flows. Believers are on a narrow path going the opposite way of the world. It is only by faith that it is possible to stand in the middle of life’s heyday and proclaim your truth.  When I teach others I want to be gentle, but not compromise the instructions you left for us to follow. Knowing you will always be in us, with us, and work through us, gives me strength and hope to stand firm on your word. I want to please you Lord, and not man. Your word will not come back void. Help me speak it accurately. Amen.
