## Written prayer

Lord, I forget how short life is. I get so caught up in my selfish agenda I chase worthless values that have no eternal substance. I forget that temporal wealth will tarnish and fade and distracts me from your purposes. I take this life for granted and waste both time and opportunities. Reaching out to others and helping them understand your loving-kindness achieves eternal rewards. Knowing you and living in preparation for eternity is the goal of this life. Teach me how to restructure my time in such a way that each day is purposeful. Help me invest in people and strengthen their understanding and love for you. Amen.
