## Written prayer

Heavenly Father, I can’t imagine what it would be like to have an enormous angelic being standing in front of me with God’s glory shining all around. The power, the majesty, and the strangeness of connecting with the supernatural world would frighten me or any other earthly being. I guess that's why every time one shows up in the Bible the first thing they say is, “fear not.” There was nothing to fear for this angelic being brought the good news of great joy. He came to announce the birth of the savior of the world, Christ the Lord! What exciting news. This was the fulfillment of God’s promises and prophecies relating to man’s salvation, peace, and pardon. He came to restore right standing with God through his life and death. What real spiritual joy unspeakable to see God manifest himself in his amazing love to his people. My spirit leaps within me as I think of the baby Jesus who came to save me from my sins and deliver me out of all my despair. I love you Jesus and I weep with joy at the thought of how much love it took for you to lay down your life to save mine. You deserve all the honor, glory, and praise. I love you in Jesus name I pray, amen.
