> And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

## Written prayer

Thank you heavenly father for your beautiful words of encouragement. You will never leave me or forsake me. You go before me and guide me in the way I should go. Knowing you are with me there is no need for me to fear or be distressed. Your word is truth and you are not a man that you would lie. All I have to do is like the old bible song says, ‘trust and obey, for theirs no other way, to be happy in Jesus is to trust and obey.’  I will stand in the face of adversity with hope and joy in my heart knowing you are with me and I am not alone. You are watching over me and know everything I encounter or am about to encounter. You will not fail me in my darkest moments, when I can’t see a way forward, when I am confused and depressed, and when I feel like giving up. You are my hope and the light of my soul. I will speak to my soul like David did and remind myself of your promises. I command my spirit to rise up in joy for the Lord God Almighty is with me. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
