## Written prayer

Lord, life is unfair and people can be unkind and cruel. Protect me from those who have hidden motives and are driven by greed and jealousy. It’s hard to know who I can trust besides you. They smile in my face and plot behind my back. They slander my good name when it makes them look good. Deliver me lord, from those who would use and abuse me. You know their hearts and their intents. Surround me with people who love you and want to grow in your truth. We are all in process and make mistakes, but when I look to you, I have the grace to forgive and extend grace to others. Amen.
