## Written prayer

Dear Lord, I don’t know what I would do if you gave me such an awesome opportunity. It would be like having a magic genie pop up and grant you anything your heart desires. If I am honest, I’m ashamed to say, my flesh would have probably wanted to grab at the opportunity for wealth or fame. The flesh is full of pride and is always eager to exalt itself. It wants to cry out “look at me.” But I must decrease that you may increase. I have nothing in and of myself to offer anyone except the truth of your life in me. You are the one I want people to see. Solomon knew that and humbled himself before you. Like his father before him he didn’t seek his own fame but his desire was to serve you and be pleasing in your sight. Help me to always keep my priorities straight and seek to serve you and bring honor and glory to your name. Let me seek after your wisdom so I might have a word in due season for those who seek my counsel. Give me the wisdom to always direct them to you and help them understand how to cooperate with what you are doing in their lives. Help me make them a success in your kingdom. In jesus name, amen.
