## Written prayer

Dear Lord, I look to you to stir my heart with appreciation and loyalty to those leaders who have taught me your word and helped me grow in my walk with you. Please, Father, give me the same sacrificial love, loyalty, and dedication as my leaders have had toward me. It troubles me to think that my leaders will not always be with me. It is frightening to think that you might want me to follow in their footsteps and be as influential as they are in building others up in their faith. It seems inconceivable that I would ever be ready to take on that kind of responsibility in place of them. But, if they depart, please give me a double amount of their anointing to be all you have called and prepared me to be. And, remove my fear of failure over taking on such a large responsibility. Prepare those I serve to follow you closely and not depend on me more than you. Help me to simply represent you, living according to your way as an example to them. Then raise them up to be even more effective than I am in leading others to know you, my Lord and Savior! I bless your holy name and give you all the praise and glory, and thank you! In Jesus name, Amen!
