## Written prayer

Lord, I can never do the great and mighty works of God on my own. There was no way Mary could give birth to the Son of God without divine intervention by your Holy Spirit. She could have refused and rejected your will but she didn’t. She surrendered and said ‘Yes, Lord”, even when she didn’t understand. It must have been overwhelming to her. No wonder Mary is highly honored among women. She was chosen by you and found favor in your sight. You blessed her to be the mother of your only begotten son, Jesus. We all have the opportunity to be a Mary in our lives. You have anointed us for greatness if we will only trust and have faith in your goodness. Mary had a tender heart of innocence. She believed that nothing was impossible for God and she believed in his goodness. Lord, this Christmas as I view the nativity and the miracle of your son’s birth, help me believe that you want to birth a miracle in my life. Light the flame of expectancy in my heart and let me rejoice in your miracle working power. I believe you want to do great and mighty things through me as I yield and trust in you. In Jesus name, amen.
