## Written prayer

Dear Lord, how utterly dynamic and creative you are in getting the attention of your people. Moses was tending his sheep out in the wilderness and suddenly you showed up in the midst of a burning bush that wasn’t consumed. Moses drew near in curiosity and heard your voice call out to him. What a miraculous sight to experience. You certainly know how to get the attention of those you want to speak to. When you call your children to great undertakings they require extraordinary confirmations. When you send on a mission I have to be certain beyond a shadow of a doubt it is you who is speaking to me. The magnitude of what you are directing me to do is often way beyond my finite comprehension. My flesh is weak Lord, and if I heard your voice in the midst of a burning bush like Moses, I would prostrate before you. I would be so overwhelmed with your presence I would agree to anything you desired of me. I would know that I know you directed me. It is those kinds of moments that would be embedded in my heart and sustain me when the road gets rough. Without that kind of assurance I would doubt the mission and let fear pull me back from completing it. Confirm your will and purpose in my life Lord, in Jesus name, amen.
