## Written prayer

Lord, I am not afraid to declare your glory among the heathen; in fact I look forward to the challenge. It is my joy to declare your marvellous works to all the nations who don’t know you. There is no God like you. You will open my mouth, inspire my words, and anoint the ears of all those who hear my voice. I yield to your spirit within me as I lift up your name to those in darkness. You will empower me to share your good news and declare your amazing deeds to others. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. I am your living testimony of your unfailing goodness and I will declare that once I too was lost and now I am saved from the power of the grave. I will let your light shine through me and give thanksgiving to the one true God full of compassion and mercy. I trust they will see you in me and be drawn to your goodness. When I lay hands on the sick and pray for those who are hurting, I pray you will anoint my prayers and touch those in need with your love and healing. In Jesus name, amen.
