## Written prayer

Dear Lord, my heart clenches at the thought of loosing those I look up to, those I have depended on. My tears flow in fear for what the future may bring. I call to you for guidance, Lord, and you remind me that you want me to turn to you in my times of struggle. You want me to trust and depend on You more than a mortal man. You want me to respect those in authority but not more than you. You are the one in whom I am to trust completely. I want to trust in you, but a living, breathing human being can make me feel more secure at times. Help me to realize that You are my comfort and all that I need. Though I desire a comfort of the flesh and I want what I can see and touch, like Israel did when they wanted a king, I ask for forgiveness for my desires. My heart cries when seeing my heroes fall, when seeing their weaknesses, and their imperfections. Heavenly Father, only you are perfect! Oh Lord, how I yearn to draw closer to you. Help my unbelief Lord! Forgive me for my weakness in not fully trusting you. Please strengthen my faith. Thank you Lord, for being there for me. I love you, worship you, adore you and place my trust in you, in Jesus name, amen.
