## Written prayer

Lord, you are a master artist. You took the dust of the earth and began to sculpt it into an image. You labored over this image and attended to every detail. You “formed” your life size sculpture into the shape of a man. At first he was just a lifeless lump of clay with no soul. But then you breathed the breath of life into his nostrils and something miraculous happened. Your breath had such power it began to surge through that lump of clay and created a beating heart, lungs to process air, and blood to flow through every cell and vein in his newly formed body. Your life force brought this lump of clay to life, and like all your other creations he had the seed to procreate inside him for future generations. Your newly created being was fashioned in your image and possesses the same abilities you possess. You gave him a brain to think, intelligence to reason, and authority to rule over your garden. You created him to have fellowship with you just like you did when you gave me new life. You created us to have a relationship with you. Oh, Lord, I am uniquely and wonderfully made in your image. Thank you Lord for the breath of your life that flows through me. Each breath I take reminds me to be grateful for your life that sustains me, in Jesus name, Amen.
