## Written prayer

Lord, my life is no longer my own. It belongs to you. I surrendered it to your lordship when I accepted you into my life. I exchanged my life for yours. So no matter what happens to me – even if you kill me – I will trust in you. Like Paul said, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Either way it is a win win situation. As long as you want to use me here on earth I will be here. If my assignment is done and you call me home I will be in your presence. I will not depart from your ways no matter what happens. I am yours as long as there is breath in me. I will not forego my conviction of integrity even if I see no hope I will maintain my ways before you. I want to live a life of trust that honors you and others will see, as they did in Job, a life committed and surrendered to you. Even when I don’t understand what you are doing and I get disappointed with the outcome I expected I would trust you are committed to my good. No one will ever love me like you do and I never want to be anywhere outside your will. To be in your presence is my deepest desire. In Jesus name, amen.
