## Written prayer

Father, It is exciting to start a new project with enthusiastic zeal but we lose the blessing if we don’t follow through. It takes perseverance and the willingness to see a project to the finish line. Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew. We don’t realize what it will take and we haven’t counted the cost of a project. We have good intentions and in our enthusiasm we gloss over the work it is going to take. When we do our best to accomplish the task, you will not reject us for what is beyond our ability to complete. Lord, it pleases you that we want to do good and try our best according to our ability. You will not reject us for what is not in our power to do. You know the intent of our heart and if our hearts are truly committed to doing something good you will accept our efforts no matter how small. I am not required to give what I don’t have. My offering is acceptable to God according to the largeness and willingness of my heart and not on my limited finances or abilities. In Jesus name, amen.
