## Written prayer

Let's pray, Father in heaven, we pray that you would bless us today as we talk about Elijah and about his battle with depression, his desire to die because of depression just overwhelming him. And Lord, we know that many, many of our listeners our dealing with issues and problems and troubles and trials and life that can be so overwhelming and can have them so discouraged and so depressed that they want to throw in the towel, too, that they are praying. As Elijah prayed, Lord, take my life. I don't want to live anymore. And God, you are the God of hope. So fill hearts with hope as they listen today and we trust you to do great and mighty things which only you can do for We pray in Jesus name. Amen
