## Written prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you that Jesus Christ feeds his church, his brethren, and those who are truly converted to the faith, like a gentle shepherd. He is the good shepherd and protects them from their enemies; he heals the sick, strengthens the weak, binds up the broken, and continually watches over them. He feeds them with the strength of his presence, for he is the bread of life. Christ, having risen from the dead, possesses all power in heaven and on earth and stands to give me the same strength given him through the father. He will provide all my needs in the majestic name of the Lord his God. They are joined together as one – father and son - and he reflects his father’s love and only does what he sees the father do. I too am joined to them and His God is my God and my desire is to reflect his love and pursue his will for my life. Under his gentle care I dwell in permanent safety and the gates of hell shall not prevail against me. All men shall know your greatness when your gospel is preached to the ends of the earth. You are the great king over all the earth. Your kingdom will be everlasting and both gentiles and Jews will dwell in safety. In Jesus name, amen.
