# Midday Prayer on 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.”

## Written prayer

Dear Lord, You are love, and everything You do and say bursts forth from that identity. I pray that the same would be true of me. I pray that my every intention, word, and action would spring forth from a place of love for You and others. Anchor me in Your love, so I may be steady and unmoving during crisis. Adorn me with love for others, so I can be a light to those around me. I know there is no amount of righteous deeds or biblical literacy that could ever replace Christ-centered love. I don’t want my actions to be empty, but filled with substance and effectiveness. Fill me with Your love, oh Lord. Guide me and teach me.
