## Written prayer

Heavenly father, lead me away from evil and help me guard my ways so pride doesn’t infiltrate my life. Pride and a haughty spirit bring about destruction. Keep me humble Lord. Don’t let me think to highly of myself. I must decrease so that you might increase in and through my life. I bow before you in humble submission and yield to your mighty hand of grace upon my life. As I humble myself before you I surrender in obedience to your purpose for my life. Even as Jesus submitted to your purpose for his life, lead me in the way you would have me go. I release my ideas for my life to your purposes for my life. I am humbled before you. You know what you gifted me to do and what is going to bring me the greatest fulfillment. I trust you Lord to fashion something unique out of my life. I delight in doing your will. Thank you that you will lift me up even as you lifted up Jesus and rewarded him for his obedience. He is my example and I know in due time you will reward my submission and obedience. Although serving you is reward enough. I am not looking for anything more than to know you better and to please you more. In Jesus name, amen.
