# Morning Prayer on Matthew 6:14

## Written prayer

My dear precious savior, you paid the ultimate price with your own life to ransome me from the clutches of sin and death. You did for me what I could never do for myself. You took the punishment for my sins and died in my place while I was yet a sinner. You forgave me all my years of sinning and gave me the greatest gift of all – eternal life. There is nothing I can do to ever repay you for this enormous debt of love I owe you. The least I can do is forgive those who trespass against me even as you forgave me when I sinned against you Lord. If I hold on to the resentment and anger toward those who have sinned against me you will not forgive me of sin in my heart. If I forgive others then you will forgive me. No one will ever sin against me like the sin, you an innocent man, experience in my place. Teach me how to forgive so I do not get tangled up in the snares of the enemy and can walk before you with a clear conscience. Purify my heart Lord, and wash me of all unforgiveness. In Jesus name, amen.
