## Written prayer

Heavenly father, it is hard for me to imagine the excruciating pain your precious son went through on that cross. It was my sins that hung there with him and I wept when I think of the price he paid on my behalf. Yet, I am grateful for my broken heart that makes me love him even more. What a wonderous, glorious love he has given me. I love him Father, and will serve him all the days of my life. No one can ever replace him in my heart. He is my beloved and I am his. Jesus knew he had accomplished his mission. Jesus poured out his life for the sake of mankind. He emptied himself on that cross. I believe when he said, I thirst, what he thirsted for was the living waters of life that he gave to those around him. He was about to leave this earth and suffer and completed his mission. I am sure he remembered those pure living waters that brought refreshment and healing to so many. May I never take for granted those living waters that cost him his life. Thank you for the resurrection that caused my joy to be restored. You died so that the last of darkness would be destroyed. In Jesus name, amen.
