## Written prayer

Heavenly Father, when you speak I listen. When I drift off course and find myself in sins territory the only way back is through sincere repentance for the foolishness of my ways. Forgive me for turning away from you in the first place. It is so easy to get seduced by the world. When I find myself surrounded by those who don’t know you, their values begin to rub off on me and start to dull my spirit if I am not careful. The more I start to compromise the easier it becomes to continue compromising and before I know it I find myself farther and farther away from you. You, my savior, won’t let me drift too far and know I am in need of a wake up call. When I realize what I have done I am sick of all my worldly indulgences. I want to cleanse myself of the pollution I engage in and deny my flesh by fasting from the sin that leads me away from you.  I weep and mourn for how I have hurt you by turning from you to run after gods of indulgence, and disappointing you with my sin. You have been so good to me how could I so easily slip away to the pigpen? Forgive me my loving father and wash me clean. Strengthen me so I have no desire to return to the ways of my past. In Jesus name, amen.
