## Written prayer

Dear Lord, thank you for the example of submission and obedience Ruth has given me. She clung to her mother in law and yielded to her authority over her life. She trusted her to guide and direct her in accordance with the god of israel's purpose. She was willing to do exactly what Naomi told her to do and her obedience brought her a tremendous reward in the end. I may not always understand what you are doing in my life. But I know you are doing something good for me. Your ways are much higher than mine and it is hard for me to comprehend, at the moment, where you're leading me because I can’t see the end in the beginning like you can. Your ideas of success are not what the world considers success. Your desire is to bring the best out in me and grant me my hearts desire. Sometimes I don’t even know what my heart really wants. I think I want one thing that will puff up my pride and give me recognition but that doesn’t always bring happiness. You know what I need to fulfill my life and make me the most productive. You created me for a purpose and that is where my joy and satisfaction abide. Help me yield to your direction and lead me to your destiny for my life, in Jesus name, amen.
