## Written prayer

Lord, teach me your ways as I come under your authority today. Your influence is easy to respond to since you are gentle and humble. You are not an oppressive taskmaster who drives me into obedience or punishes me when I spill the milk. You understand I am trying and smile at my willingness to learn. Lord your yoke is not heavy because you carry most of the weight as you continue to strengthen me in your ways. I find comfort in walking in harmony with you, and have no fear of hearing the crack of a whip. If I stumble along the way you pick me up and encourage me. Amen.
