## Written prayer

What a glorious day to celebrate the joy of your resurrection. Because of Adam’s sin we were all under the penalty of death. But because of Christ’s obedience the power of that death was broken. You, Lord Jesus, were the first to be resurrected from the dead and paved the way for all us who believe in you to follow. Your resurrection was the total defeat of death. Our triumphant risen Christ declared that he was the resurrection and the life. You told me that if I believe in you I would live even if I die. And you showed me the power of your promise when you rose from the grave. You conquered the last stronghold of Satan – death itself. Glory Hallelujah! He is risen!! Ring the bells for the entire world to know that Jesus Christ has risen. There is no more fear of death, only the hope of eternal life to be shared with my beautiful savior. I am filled with awe and wonder of such a glorious revelation that death has been swallowed up in victory through the obedience of one perfect man who delivered me from evil and brought salvation to all those who have faith in him. In Jesus name, amen.
