## Written prayer

I love the song, Oh, come Oh, come Emmanuel and ransom captive Israel. Thank you Jesus for paying the price to ransom me from death and destruction with your life. I will forever be grateful for what you did to be with me. You loved me so much you came into this world through a virgin birth. You chose to strip yourself of all your regal majesty and take on human form so I might know you and relate to you. My sinful human nature can never stand in light of your holiness so you had to first show me your humanity. You showed me that you understood my fears, insecurities, and struggles. You endured all I endure and more and you raised above it - God with us - God for us - God abiding in us. What an honor and privilege it is to know you desire to dwell among us as your people. You brought me hope and the pathway to the father. Jesus, my Emmanuel, I adore you and embrace your kindness and your example of how to live in a fallen world. What a joy it is to know that you are not ashamed to call me your own. You came to save those who were lost and rejected by the world. Thank you my precious Lord, In Jesus name, amen.
