> And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

## Written prayer

Oh Father, your mercy melts my heart. Everytime I encounter your goodness I am humbled before you. Your desire is to show your graciousness to all those lost in darkness, you are long suffering as you wait for sin to have its effects in the fullness of time. Long-suffering is a fruit of the spirit not generally talked about but it has great value in your kingdom. Love is long suffering and shows a mature and disciplined spirit. When the heart is desperate for truth and healing you rise up to show them compassion. Your loving kindness and your patient understanding are to be greatly exalted. You are the righteous God who is always just and merciful. You patiently wait for many to realize the foolishness of their wayward ways and cry out for your deliverance from the death sentence sin brings on their lives. You will never abandon the lost even when they walk away from you. Your fathers heart, waits for their return even as the prodigal son’s father searches the horizon for his son’s return. You hope and intercede for your children to come to their sense and return to the safety and comfort of your love. Sometimes we don't appreciate what we have until we lose it. Blessed are all who wait for him. In Jesus name, amen.
